Club Night Attendance
The Club Night Attendance award is presented to swimmers who attend all Club Night swims during the season.
Club Person of the Year
The ‘Club Person of the Year’ Award recognises the contribution an individual has made to the club throughout the season.
There is no age restriction, or is it specified that it must be awarded to a swimmer of non-swimmer.
Swimming Australia - Junior Excellence (JX)
The Junior Excellence Program was established in 2007 to recognise, reward and incentivise junior swimmers who are on part of their swimming journey, learning and refining as they develop into senior swimmers. Each year Swimming Australia releases the JX criteria and standards for the forthcoming season which swimmers, parents and coaches can use as targets throughout the year.
Swimmers aged from 9 to 13 years, who accomplish times set by Swimming Australia, qualify at gold, silver, bronze or blue standard, depending on their best performance/s during the season.
All ‘approved’ swim meet results are loaded into the Swimming Australia’s Swim Central and used as results towards an overall award for each individual swimmer. At the end of the qualification period, Swimming Australia will publish the JX results on the website.

Trevor Meyers
The Trevor Meyers Memorial Handicap Event is run on the basis of a 50 metre freestyle handicap race. It is open to all swimmers who are financial members of Dubbo City Swimtech Swimming Club. Heats and finals swims in this event do not count towards a swimmers’ club point score.
Participating swimmers will be required to nominate a qualifying time for their 50 metre freestyle swim. The nominated time must be in whole seconds.
Please refer to the Club Night Schedule for dates of the Heats and Final as well as the closing date for nominations.
Swimmers will be allocated into heats by the Club Race Secretary. The first two swimmers from each heat who swim within (2) seconds of their nominated time will advance to the semi-finals. Semi-finals will be conducted as per the same criteria as the heats.
Up to a maximum of 6 swimmers will qualify for the final. The swimmer who finishes closest to their nominated time (and within two (2) seconds) will be declared the winner.
The Club Race Secretary and the Club President are the sole selectors of swimmers advancing from heats to semi-finals to finals. These decisions are based solely on computer times.
Timing gear only will be used – no stopwatches. In the event that a fault occurs the heat will be re-run.
If 1st and 2nd place have swum exactly the same time (equal first) and both are within two (2) seconds of their nominated time, both swimmers will advance. The next swimmer is third and not eligible for advancement. In the event that there is a tie for second place and both are within two (2) seconds of their nominated time, then three swimmers will advance – 1st and the two who tied for second.
Swimmers advancing from heats to semi-finals and from semi-finals to finals will be notified individually.
The winner will be announced at the Club Presentation Night.
